Brayden Williams

I am a Waradjuri and Gunai Kurnai man, born in Echuca. For me, art isn’t just a passion or a career choice—it is my path. It has flowed through my family for generations, and I believe I am meant to keep that legacy going.

I’ve been surrounded by art for as long as I can remember. My heaviest influence and biggest inspiration has always been my father; watching him taught me how to see the world and how to speak through my work. Today, I create from a place of deep lived experience.

My story alone gives me the vision to create—I draw directly from what I’ve seen, what I know, and the journey I’ve walked.But the true heartbeat of everything I do is my family.

When I’m not at the canvas, my time is spent training and just loving being with my kids. I draw an immense amount of strength from my children and our family, and it’s their stories that ground me and push my creativity forward.

Every piece I create is a bridge between the generations before me and the children looking up to me today. I create to honor where I come from, and to make sure our story continues.
