Denise Ngwarraye Bonney

Denise Bonney is an Alyawarr artist from Ampilatwatja. Denise paints through Barkly Regional Arts Canteen Creek studio and  has a has a distinct visual language, producing finely rendered landscapes in which she obscures perspectives, creating tapestries of rhythmic trees and bush flowers. Her unusual use of perspective has been influential to her broader family, many of whom are  active members of the Ampilatwatja and Canteen Creek art centres. Her use of repetitive dotting captures the rhythm of the landscape around the region and reflect an interest in bush flowers and medicines.
