Maxine West

Maxine West was born in Warburton, where she has spent her whole life. She began painting when she was young, growing up surrounded by the strong artistic culture of her community.

Through painting, Maxine expresses her connection to Country, family, and the stories that have been passed down through generations. Working alongside other artists at the art centre continues to inspire her practice and strengthen her skills. Painting remains an important part of her life, allowing her to share culture and stay connected with her community.
