Betty Campbell
Mimili Maku ArtsBetty Campbell (*1961) is a Pitjantjatjara artist and senior cultural leader from Mimili on the APY Lands. A respected Elder and inma leader, she carries women’s ancestral knowledge through song, dance and ceremony. Her expressive paintings emerge from this embodied cultural authority, using rhythmic mark-making and layered compositions to translate women’s stories into visual form. Betty’s work has been recognised through major Australian art prizes and is held in significant public and private collections in Australia and internationally.
