About UMI Arts Limited
UMI Arts Gallery Giftshop is a year-round, street-facing retail and exhibition space in Gimuy/Cairns, showcasing authentic Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, craft,
design and giftware from Far North Queensland.
Our collection brings together works by local First Nations member artists from across a vast region, from Gimuy/Cairns to the Torres Strait, Cape York, the Gulf and western communities.
Customers can discover original artworks, handmade craft, jewellery, textiles, homewares, books and thoughtful gifts that reflect strong connections to Country, culture, story and community.
Established in 2005, UMI Arts is a not-for-profit First Nations arts and cultural organisation with a long record of supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, cultural practitioners and
communities. Through exhibitions, retail, markets, professional development and cultural programs, UMI Arts creates practical pathways for artists to share their work, build skills and
strengthen sustainable creative livelihoods.

Shipping policy
Please note: Some artworks included here are currently on exhibition in the UMI Arts Freshwater Saltwater Exhibition and, if purchased, cannot be shipped until the week commencing Monday, 14 September 2026.
Refund policy
Refunds apply when a customer is seeking their payment returned for an eligible purchase. UMI Arts may provide a refund for eligible purchases returned within 30 days of purchase, once the item has been received and inspected. To be eligible, the item must be unused, undamaged, in its original condition, and returned with all original packaging and documentation. Customers must email UMI Arts with the product description and reason for the refund request before sending the item back, and return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the purchase.
Return policy

UMI Arts may accept returns for eligible purchases within 30 days of purchase, once the item has been received and inspected. Customers must email UMI Arts with the product description and reason for the return or exchange before sending the item back, and return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. Approved returns may be exchanged for an equivalent product where available, or refunded in line with the Refund Policy.
